Integrated Transfer Station

Maxiton provides consultation and the implementation of transfer stations in different areas.

What is a transfer station?

A transfer station is a localized site for temporary deposition of waste from the surrounding area. The implementation of transfer stations in different regions makes waste management more efficient and cost effective.

Refuse transport vehicle, such as the rear-end loader, will collect waste from different garbage points such as the residential areas or offices, and deposit the collected refuse into the transfer station. The deposited refuse will then undergo processing and compaction within the transfer station. Well-planned and well equipped transfer stations will have the follow benefits:

  1. Reduced operation cost
  2. Increase efficiency in waste management processes
  3. Reduced waste transported to the incineration plant / landfill
  4. Real time information can be collected to aid in the formulation of policies and waste management system

In most areas, it is more efficient and cost effective to decentralize the refuse collection points by implementing the transfer stations in different regions.
